We
all pass through this phase in our life time flies, now our children are going
through this phase too. Back in the days we used to put our feet in cold water
so we won’t fall asleep while studding but it didn't work. We don’t want our
children to go through studding the same way as we did.
It’s perfect normal for children to be anxious before taking examination, we need to help them to get through their exams in safe way, since they are fear of we parents, siblings and friends who will make fun of them if they won’t be able to pass their exams so they feel even more pressured.
Examinations stress is predictable since it normal come at certain time during the school years. Our children feel pressured since they have set high standard for themselves and worry if they will be able to attain them.
We should make sure our children have plenty of time to revise; this will help them become more confident and more relaxed. And to know which subject they need to make more effort. We need to be very supportive during this time, to encourage them and tell them we believe on them.
Also talking to them, this will give them chance to communicate their concerns and we as parent opportunity to reassure them of our unconditional love.Also we need to stay positive and help our children to stay positive too, we need to know our children strengths and weakness .
Also we need to know that our children will not be defined by the results of the examination, since there are thousands of successful people who didn't do as well as they wanted in their exams.
Also we need to make sure our children eat and drink well so that they won’t suffer from headaches and tiredness due to dehydration and lead to poor concentration in examinations.
